Asahi Fibres Ltd has informed that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on October 04, 2008, inter alia, to transact the following business:
1. Resolution pursuant to section 293(1)(a) of the Companies Act 1956 inter alia for creation of charge by way of Mortgages, Charges and Hypothecation on Companys movable / immovable properties in favour of Bank and Financial Institution to secure loans of an aggregate value not exceeding Rs 1000 crores and
2. Resolutions pursuant to Section 293(1)(d) of the Companies Act 1956 for borrowings from Banks / Institutions and from others of a sum not exceeding Rs 1000 crores.
